Design García Cumini

Agave is a collection inspired by the plant of the same name, a symbol of elegance and resilience, reinterpreted in Venetian crystal by designers García Cumini. Its iconic elongated leaf recalls Barovier&Toso’s glassmaking tradition and is enriched by the dew technique, which enhances its brilliance and three-dimensional texture. An innovative shaded effect, obtained with coloured glass beads, further enhances the design. This workmanship diffuses light dynamically, evoking the sun’s rays filtered through the agave leaves.

García Cumini

Cinzia Cumini and Vicente García Jiménez founded García Cumini in 2012 in Udine, giving rise to a design dialogue in which two cultures meet and influence one another. At the core of their work lies a constant observation of contemporary society’s behaviors, combined with a natural inclination toward aesthetic research. The result is a multidisciplinary approach, where product, space, and identity evolve through a coherent and deeply conscious vision.

Their method is grounded in the philosophy of Slow Design, understood as the time necessary to comprehend, filter, and give form to a project. Each creation emerges from a process of sedimentation, in which material, function, and meaning find a measured balance. Within this path, design moves away from immediacy to embrace a more reflective dimension, where every detail is the outcome of precise and intentional thinking.
