Valle Giulia apartment

Rome, Italy

This house is an eclectic “container of spaces” and works of art, featuring contrasting styles. A residence in the Parioli district, where pop colours and decorations mingle with original rationalist elements from the 1950s. The apartment, with an area of 260 sqm, conserves its original layout with a large entrance and narrow circulation corridor, while the living area becomes a single large zone, where the spaces and functions are determined by the flooring and the furnishings. In the terse, minimal dining area, the Robin suspension lamp stands out with its forms that suggest the archetype of the lantern, reinterpreted in contemporary style.
