Yuen Long

Hong Kong, China

A private residence in the Yuen Long district of Hong Kong embraces contemporary aesthetics through a refined and balanced design language, where every decorative element contributes to a cohesive and elegant whole. The project is designed by Simon Chong, who transformed this villa in a refined haven on the outskirts of the city. White walls and light wood floors serve as a backdrop to his remarkable private collection of antique furniture and artworks from around the world. At the heart of the main room stands a customized caramel Rotterdam chandelier, dark lampshades, and rostrato-finished bobbins. Its elongated central stem accentuates the verticality of the space, lending architectural momentum to the interior. In the dining area, the Saint Germain chandelier plays a more discreet role, offering a warm and intimate light, ideal for enhancing the convivial character of the setting.
