Calvi&Brambilla have created a multimedia installation for Barovier&Toso in which fire was a clear protagonist. Seven giant rounded niches, when seen from outside, offered a view only of the back – a huge screen broadcasting images of dancing flames to suggest the genesis of glass – and captured the curiosity of visitors, encouraging them to enter.
Each niche contained a new collection on a panel of white drapes, like a precious chest for jewellery. Together, the displays accompanied the visitor along a very free, fluid itinerary, a place for a completely personal and independent experience of discovery.
Bordeaux and black were the main colours of this engaging adventure, made even more immersive by the glossy black floor that reflected the images from the screens and the collections inside the niches, in an effect of multiplication of sensory stimuli.
