Adour restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel

New York, USA

Adour is the restaurant and wine bar created by the legendary award-winning chef Alain Ducasse inside the famous St. Regis Hotel. The concept behind the project was to create a space that would be as rich and complex as the cuisine offered by the chef himself. This complexity is reflected in the spatial arrangement of the architecture, the layering of materials and the variety of the range of colours. Like a library reading room, the dining area is a blend of tradition and modernity. At the centre of the space, a Rotterdam chandelier in violet Venetian Crystal, in a custom size, hangs above a back-lit champagne-colour table, while two Sara table lamps, also in violet, frame the wine bar in the background.
