Casa WWTS - Milano Design Week 2016
Casa WWTS is the annual event held by WWTS during the Milan Design week, and this year had a new home.
Nearly 1,000 square meters available in the heart of Milan, just 300 meters from the Duomo: Giureconsulti Palace, owned by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, is one of the most historic buildings of the city, whose construction began in 1562. The Palace overlooks the ancient Piazza dei Mercanti, topographic center of medieval Milan and heart of economic and social activities of those times.
A real exhibition space, where the design of twenty large furniture and lighting companies appeared as the first protagonist, offering visitors the chance to see cutting-edge products and installations: from lighting to furniture, kitchens and wardrobes, paneling and doors.
Barovier&Toso designed two big installations for the main room: a magical fall of glass elements with irregular surfaces, transparent and opaque white (Hanami) and a bunch of Pigalle chandeliers with their "heavy" glass but still graceful shapes.
Seven hundred visitors a day, a great success. Thanks also go on wine tours, always uniquely appointed.
